# Short Run Supply Co.

> A Kansas City, Missouri manufacturing studio. We make small custom plastic parts without waiting on tooling. Prototypes, short production runs, and assembly. No catalog for sale yet.

We are a small shop. No catalog yet. Quotes are per project. Simple parts typically start under $250; most first projects land between $250 and $1,500. Budget brackets on the quote form are for calibration, not a menu.

Replies are usually within one business day. Quotes often take 1–2 days. Sample ship time depends on the job.

## What we take

- Custom parts from a file (STL, STEP, 3MF, OBJ) or from a photo, sketch, or broken original
- Prototypes and samples you can hold before a run
- Short production runs without a mold. Design changes between batches do not restart tooling cost
- Assembly: magnets, heat-set inserts, fasteners. Parts should arrive ready to use
- Reverse-engineering a discontinued or broken part from photos and measurements (mail the original if that is easier)
- Materials we run: PLA, PETG, ASA (outdoor / vehicle), TPU. Multi-material and multi-color when the job needs it. Specialty filaments quoted per project.

Open Bench is a separate offer: a person brings a small, specific problem nobody makes a fix for. If we can design a solution, they keep the first one free. Not every idea makes the cut.

Very high volumes that want injection molding, and metal parts that want a machine shop, are outside what we take. We'll say so.

Truck bed-rail, boat mounts, and shop fixes are R&D on our own gear. Proof of work is our own truck, boat, and bench.

- project (required for quote): what to make, quantity if known, material or color if known
- problem (required for open-bench): the problem and roughly how big the thing is
- budget: `under-250` | `250-1000` | `1000-5000` | `5000-plus` (quote only, optional)
- phone (optional)
- timeline (optional)
- files: photos or STL/STEP/3MF/OBJ (optional; a few files, about 2 MB each)

Success is HTTP 200 with JSON `{ "ok": true }`. Joe replies from the shop.
